day trip!

This week I spent the night with my friend so that we could go on a day trip with her sister's company the next day. It was me and a bunch of girls from 6:30am until 10 at night. Quite a day! We had a picnic for most of the day at a place about and hour out of town. Then we stopped at a park in the city to make tea, then headed to an amusement park to end up the day. There was lots of eating, lots of talking, and lots of dancing! Here are a few pictures...

The place we went for the picnic was at this little waterfall in the hills to the north. It was a hot day, so many people took the opportunity to swim in the pool below the falls. It was a holiday, so there were tons of people enjoying a day out.

We were high up on a hill. You could look down from the place with the waterfall to see the valley below.

Our AMAZING lunch. Kebabs and other meat cooked over the fire. Even better than a grill, that's for sure. This is just a fraction of the meat for our big meal.

We stopped for more tea after we drove the hour back into town. At the park where we stopped, there were some guys with horses where giving rides. Here is my friend taking her turn. It was fun, especially for the kids!

Ah, the Pirate. Classic amusement park ride. Usually I like any roller coaster or ride except for the ship, but they talked me into it and I had a great time.

One girl brought her little sister and niece. They let me play with them so we rode this little mini Ferris wheel. You can kind of see from the one behind us that the seats were shaped like hot air balloons.

And the one big roller coaster. The cyclone! It's not a trip to the amusement park without riding a roller coaster.
